Stage Set – AECC - Nothern Star Awards
Over the past few years MODUL UK has developed a close business relationship with the AECC Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. We now not only provide the AECC with our modular system for their shell scheme requirements but also helped develop and manufacture a range of bespoke system stands for shows such as All Energy or Offshore Europe.
The most exciting challenge however was to design and manufacture a unique fabric back drop for the NOTHERN STAR Awards 2008. From the initial conceptual idea, through to the manufacture and delivery of the fabric back drop, MODUL worked hand in hand with the AECC to deliver a stunning stage set for a successful event.
Stage Set layout - once the design was agreed upon MODUL generated CAD drawings for the system framework.
A parts list of all the components used to manufacture the curved structure was generated.
The profiles where cut, curved, milled or CNC machined and accessories were fitted to complete the system kit for the stage set.
A pre-build took place in our German factory to label the individual components and ensure a smooth build in Aberdeen.
The components were crated and shipped direct to the AECC and built by the local crew.
